A digital agency serving Ecclesfield businesses
Ecclesfield is a village in the north of the City of Sheffield, about four miles from the city centre. It gives its name to Ecclesfield Parish, which also takes in Chapeltown, High Green, Grenoside, Burncross and Thorncliffe and has its own parish council.
Our base is in Wakefield and we have no office in Ecclesfield. If your business is here, we can run your web design, marketing or branding project remotely by phone and video call.
The Ecclesfield business landscape
The village grew around St Mary’s Church, a Grade I listed building long known as the “Minster of the Moors” from the days when its parish covered a large, rural part of Hallamshire. Today the area is mostly residential, with local shops, pubs, trades and small service firms, and Chapeltown has a larger shopping centre nearby. Thorncliffe, to the north, has a long industrial history.
For most businesses here, customers come from the surrounding villages and the north of Sheffield, and many find you through a local search or a recommendation from a neighbour.
Getting around Ecclesfield
Junction 35 of the M1 is close by, with the A629 running through Chapeltown towards Sheffield. Chapeltown station, on the line between Sheffield and Barnsley, gives rail access, and buses connect the area with Sheffield city centre and Meadowhall.
What this means for your business
Your website
A village business rarely needs a large, complicated website. A handful of well-written pages covering your services, the places you serve and how to get in touch is quick to build, easy to keep up to date and clear for customers.

Customers here are more likely to search for a service near them than for a business by name. An accurate Google Business Profile, service pages that mention the villages you cover and a steady flow of genuine reviews usually matter more than advertising.
How we approach digital marketingYour brand
For a new or small business, a clear logo and a consistent look across your sign, van, leaflets and social media help customers trust you. A compact brand pack covering what you need now can be extended later.
How we approach branding and graphic designPractical points
- Name the places you cover, such as Ecclesfield, Chapeltown, High Green and Grenoside, because customers often search using their own village.
- Local social media groups and community events can be worth as much as paid advertising for very local businesses.
- If you also serve the rest of Sheffield, say so, but keep your nearest areas first.
