Music PR
Music PR and sponsorships for independent artists
You make the music; we help the right people hear about it. We run PR for independent and emerging artists, TikTok and social-first musicians, and the gigs, tours and events around them, and we help you land brand sponsorships that suit your audience. Based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, working with artists across the UK.
Who we work with
Big labels have in-house press teams. Small and independent artists usually don't, which is where we come in. We keep things practical and scaled to where you are now, whether that is your first single or your first tour.
Independent and unsigned artists
Self-releasing singers, rappers, producers and bands who want to be taken seriously by press, radio, promoters and labels.TikTok and social-first artists
Artists who have built a following online and want to turn views into streams, ticket sales, coverage and paid opportunities.Small and emerging acts
Artists with a local following who are ready to reach new towns, new audiences and the music press for the first time.Gigs, tours and events
Headline shows, tours, festival appearances, launch parties, club nights and showcases that need people through the door.
How we help
Release campaigns
A plan for each single, EP or album: the story behind it, a press release, pitching to blogs, magazines, local and student radio, and playlist curators, timed around release day.Brand sponsorships and partnerships
We find brands that fit your audience and values, build a sponsorship deck with your real audience numbers, pitch on your behalf and help you agree what each side delivers.Gig and tour PR
Listings, local press and radio in every town you play, interview opportunities, media and guest list invites, and social content before and after each show.Event sponsorship
Approaching local businesses, drinks brands, gear and fashion brands to sponsor or partner on a show, tour or event, with clear terms on branding and content.TikTok and social strategy
Turning a moment into momentum: content ideas around your releases, creator collaborations and making the most of a viral clip. For paid promotion, see digital marketing.EPK, bio and press shots
A professional electronic press kit, artist bio, press photos and one-sheet that promoters, journalists and sponsors can use. We can design the artwork and visual identity too, see branding.
Sponsorships that make sense for your audience
Brands increasingly want to work with musicians who have a real connection with their fans, and that includes smaller artists with a loyal, engaged audience rather than huge follower counts. A good partnership can fund a music video, a tour, new gear or studio time, and gives the brand something genuine to say.
We look for partners that fit who you are and who listens to you, so the deal feels natural to your fans. That might be a local business backing a hometown show, a clothing or drinks brand on tour, a music gear company, or a sponsored series of posts around a release.
Is music PR right for you?
A good fit if you…
- Have a release, tour or show coming up, ideally six to eight weeks away or more
- Have music, visuals and socials that you are proud to show people
- Have started to build an audience, online or locally, and want to grow it
- Want to earn money from your music through brand partnerships, not just streams
Probably not yet if…
- You want guaranteed playlist placements, press or radio play
- You want to buy streams, followers or views
- Your release is next week and nothing is ready yet
- You need a manager, booking agent or record label rather than PR
How a campaign works
1. Listen and plan
We listen to your music, look at your audience and talk about your goals, then agree a plan and timeline around your release or dates.2. Get ready
We write your story and press release, sort out your EPK and press shots, and, if sponsorship is in scope, build your deck and target brand list.3. Pitch and promote
We pitch to press, radio, blogs, curators, promoters and brands, coordinate social content and support you through interviews and the show itself.4. Report and build
We share what landed, what didn’t and what we learned, then plan the next release or run of dates so each campaign builds on the last.
What affects the cost
Cost depends on what you need: a single release campaign, PR for a tour across several towns, sponsorship outreach, or ongoing support across a year of releases and shows. We are used to working with independent artists' budgets and can start small. Get in touch with a link to your music and what you have coming up, and we will suggest a plan and price.
Frequently asked questions
Do you only work with signed artists?
No. Most of the artists we speak to are independent or self-releasing, including bedroom producers, local bands and artists who have built an audience on TikTok or Instagram. What matters is that you have music out (or a release date), you are serious about it and you have a clear idea of who your listeners are.
I went viral on TikTok. How do I turn that into a career?
A viral moment gets attention, but it fades quickly unless you give people somewhere to go next. We help you tell the story behind the moment to blogs, playlist curators, local press and radio, tidy up your profiles and electronic press kit (EPK), and plan the next releases and shows so new listeners stay with you. We also help you approach brands while the attention is there.
Can you get me a sponsorship deal?
We can find brands that genuinely suit your audience, build a sponsorship deck, pitch to them and help you through the conversation. We cannot guarantee a brand will say yes. Sponsors want to see who your audience is and how engaged they are, so we start by pulling those numbers together honestly.
Can you guarantee press coverage, radio play or playlist placements?
No, and you should be wary of anyone who does. Editors, presenters and curators decide what they cover. We will not buy streams, followers or playlist placements, because they break the platforms’ rules and can get your music removed. What we do is find the right outlets for your sound and pitch a story that gives them a reason to say yes.
Do you help with gigs, tours and events?
Yes. We run PR around headline shows, tours, festival slots, album launch parties and fan events: listings, local press and radio in each town, social content, guest list and media invites, and approaching local businesses or brands to sponsor or partner on the night. We are not a booking agent, so we do not book venues or negotiate fees with promoters.
How do sponsored posts work with advertising rules?
In the UK, paid or gifted brand content has to be clearly labelled, for example with #ad, under the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and CAP Code rules. We make sure every sponsorship we arrange is disclosed properly, so your audience trusts you and you stay out of trouble.
